So you have bought these nice new microfibre cloths - now you need to know how to take care of them.... Lets talk Laundry!

We do recommend washing with our Ultra Power Plus™ Laundry Detergent (but if you don't have any just be sure you are using another good quality brand that does not contain bleach, fillers or fabric softeners). It's also very important not to wash your microfibre with other linty items (eg fluffy jumpers, flannelette sheets etc) as the lint can clog the fibres.

I use the Ultra Power Plus™ Laundry Detergent in both the old washing machine (for my husbands grubby diesel fitter clothes, that get washed with bore water) and in my good washing machine (that runs on rain water and cleans our normal clothes and all our Norwex products).

Also be sure to check out the Microfibre Cleaner Laundry Booster, it's great for soaking! I've also use it as "paste" with water to put directly onto stains with great results. Plus our Stain Remover which is a gel.

MICROFIBRE CARE TIPS

🌳 It’s important that you rinse your Norwex Microfibre out well and hang it to dry after each use.

🌳 Rinse by rubbing the cloth against itself under running water

🌳 Hanging to dry in a well ventilated area and allow it to dry before use again.

HOW TO DO A DEEP CLEAN

When was the last time you gave your Norwex cloths a deep clean? If they are starting to get smelly or feeling stiff, they are probably in need of one! It's so easy and you will be surprised by the amount of gunk that comes out....

Option One

  1. Just throw your cloths in an empty sink with the plug in

  2. Add some Ultra Power Plus™ Laundry Detergent

  3. Pour boiling water over them.

  4. Give them a swish around and agitate every now and then. You might just be amazed at the dirt and grime that comes out of your cloth.

  5. After about 10 minutes rinse them out (by rubbing the cloth against itself under running water).

  6. Repeat if necessary (if it’s been a while and they are pretty grotty, it’s not uncommon to need do this more than 3 times, keep going until the water is clear)

  7. Throw them in the wash (Avoid washing with other linty items)

  8. You will also be amazed at how clean your sink is after.

Option Two

  1. Throw your dirty cloths in an bucket during the week

  2. Once the bucket is full add some Microfibre Cleaner Laundry Booster

  3. Fill bucket with hot water from tap (not boiling as this will kill the enzymes in the Booster)

  4. Agitate with something (I use an old wooden ruler)

  5. Let soak for 30 minutes.

  6. Toss them in the washing machine.

DEEP CLEANING NOTES:

  • I used Option One for many years prior to the Microfibre Cleaner Laundry Booster being available. Now I use option Two as it's more convenient. In my opinion Option One is more cost effective ;)

  • Option Two is the better choice for cloths that have nylon in them and the mop pads (due to velcro on the back).

  • Best to do similar colors together

  • If you don’t have any Ultra Power Plus™ Laundry Detergent you can use another brand, but please ensure it is free from bleach, fillers or fabric softeners

  • We also have a Liquid Laundry Detergent for those who prefer liquid.
